Did you ever want to live among the trees? This is the condo for you! 2 bed/ 3 bath unit features a wall of windows looking out upon the forest on this ground floor unit. The views are out every window (there are a ton of them) and are truly magical. It is a one of a kind experience! The newly renovated kitchen and new living room furniture are just a couple of the amenities you will enjoy while staying nestled in the pines. In kitchen you will find a island with 4 extra seating. Dining table has 6 seating so all the family can enjoy a good meal. The primary bedroom offers a king bed with en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has queen bed and en-suite bathroom. In the living room there’s a Murphy bed and full hall bathroom for convenience. You will have a washer & dryer in the unit.

For Winter reservations:
Iron Horse is located on the corridor run that connects the base of Mary Jane to the base of Winter Park.
This corridor run (marked as a green run on the trail map) is about 1 mile long. Base of Mary Jane sits higher (elevation wise) than base of Winter Park.
From Iron Horse you ski down 1/4 mile to base of Winter Park, and to ski home you must go over the Mary Jane side to catch the corridor run. Iron Horse is located 3/4 mile down the corridor run from Mary Jane.
To get to the base of Mary Jane, you will have to be able to manage a blue trail. (just fyi)
You do also have the option to use the free shuttle offered by Town of Winter Park. Iron Horse Resort is on the “green line

For added convenience a full-service ski shop with rental options is located on the property. Washers and dryers are available on the second floor of the D building. Level 5 in the D building provides a room for ski storage and ski-in/ski-out access (green corridor). Locks for ski racks can be purchased at front desk for $35. The free Lift bus also picks up frequently at the main entrance for easy shuttle service to the Village.

With this rental you have access to 1-car private garage (just steps away from the condo) with keyless access, plus 1 additional outdoor permitted parking space to accommodate guests with two vehicles. Outdoor parking is on a first come first serve basis. Additional vehicles are not permitted. There is a fee for lost or missing parking pass

For our fellow mountain bike lovers: we are very sorry, but management does not allow bicycles stored inside condos or on balconies. To prevent mud and chain oil damage to our carpets, as well as handle bar scratches on the walls; we must kindly ask you to not store bikes inside the condo. We are working with the HOA of all our properties to figure out bike storage in the long term as our mountain sports grow in popularity. Thank you for your understanding.

Winter Park Resort is only w miles away and the FREE resort shuttle will drop you off right in the middle of the resort base village which includes the lifts for skiing/boarding/mountain biking, snow tubing, hiking, ice skating, shopping, dining, scheduled entertainment, and other attractions including several summer activities. The swimming pool and gym are 4.7 miles at Grand Park Rec Center with multiple swimming pools, a waterslide, full gym with indoor track, huge rock climbing wall, gymnasium, and children's playground. The Foundry is next door to the Rec Center with a bowling alley, movie theater and brick oven pizza bar. Safeway grocery store at Fraser is just 6.1 miles away.

Please note if you are arriving by train, there is no facility on-site for luggage storage.

    This was our second year at Winter Park, both times staying within the Iron Horse units. This unit was better than our last one, in that the kitchen was updated. It's nice to be able to rent, store, and ski so conveniently. Overall, I'd recommend staying at this unit.

    We spent a little bit of time at the recreation center, which is nice to use when it's just too cold. The hot tubs were used daily by us, and this unit is a bit further from the community hot tub than some of us would have liked.

    We went into town once for dinner and ate at Winter Park for lunch most days. But, otherwise, we ate all of our meals at the unit for 5 days. There were sufficient pots/pans/utensils, though the Teflon pans were scratched up.

    We did have to contact the property manager a couple of times. They were friendly, though they did not respond right away as they said my voicemail somehow got missed. We had a friend spend the night one night, and they were sympathetic to the fact that there was only one parking space. Also, when the HOA had turned off the water for a few hours (30 min. more than their window), they did try and work on our behalf to get the water back on so that we could shower after skiing all day.

    As for value, I think it came out to about $400/night, which isn't outrageous for a 2 BR, 3 BA ski in/ski out, I think. It's certainly a bit dated, and my wife thought it was too dark. Overall, I would recommend the property.

    Really enjoyed location. Condo was well appointed. Place could have Been vacuumed better, we found everything to be very clean except carpets and floors. Found bottle caps from previous guests and carpets needed more care.

    Overall we really enjoyed the place and would stay again. Because cleaning supplies were left anything I felt needed to be taken care of I could clean. Appreciated, heated floors and lots of places for people to sleep.

Not "defending them" or giving excuse, but I do have to say that guest checked in on THE most busy day of the entire year (Jan 1st) where our cleaners may have rushed a little to insure that all properties got cleaned in time for everyone to be able to check in without delay. Again - not an excuse - 'cause they should have caught the bottle caps on the floor and vacuumed better. Glad that you overall enjoyed the place and that you would stay with us again!     Spacious and comfortable condo with exceptional kitchen that is well stocked. The pull out Murphy bed makes this unit almost three bedrooms. Newer unit with nice decor. Unit is on ground level so no problems with steps. Parking is convenient just adjacent to condo. Slight walk and elevator ride to the slopes with access via another close building. Available ski storage at the building near the slopes so you can leave your skis there. Lastly, the personnel at Winter Park are very helpful and available.

    very convenient location to the slopes. Nice unit for the 5 of us. nnice amenities though there were no towels at the pool or hot tub which used to have them. Management very accommodating and very quickly provided humidifiers when requested.

    We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious condo. There were three of us visiting for a couple days of bike riding at Trestle. We were close enough to ride back to the condo for lunch. The huge deck was a great place to hang out after a long day of riding.

    Iron Horse Resort is a great place for you skiers. If you need to rent equipment the rental shop is right on the way to the ski trail. The unit we stayed in was a 5 minute trek across a parking lot, up an elevator, down a hall to the ski trail. From there you put skis on and ski down to the Zephyr lift. Super easy and convenient. You can also take the bus line to the bottom of the mountain at Winter Park. Iron Horse sits at the bottom of Mary Jane so you will need to handle a blue run to get back to Iron Horse. You could also get to the bottom of WP and take the shuttle back too. Our condo was nice and roomy. The kitchen was the jewel of this unit. The only negative is the condo is very dark as the living areas are around the back of the unit and sun comes around the front so lights had to be on even during the day. Everything was in working order and you could easily sleep 8 and the living area can easily entertain that same number for TV watching. Iron Horse is slightly dated but the cleanliness and quietness made it an enjoyable stay.
