Important Note: Due to coronavirus restrictions all shared amenities (pool, fitness room, etc.) will be closed until further notice. They are also using this time to renovate the pool and make building upgrades.

Beautifully updated condo features a full kitchen (full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and stove). With a Murphy bed and sleeper sofa, four people can share this cozy studio.

This property uses the Triple Sheet Method where we use two sheets to encase the comforter. This sheet-made duvet cover gets washed between each and every guest to provide an extra clean sleeping experience.

Iron Horse is conveniently located right off the corridor trail (1/4 mile from the new Zephyr Gondola) and base activities. Easily return to the condo for lunch or to warm up.

Make sure you bring your swimsuits as this complex offers a year-round indoor/outdoor heated pool and two large outdoor hot tubs in addition to a fitness room with steam rooms and showers.

The unit provides two parking passes. Garage parking is for one vehicle on a first come first serve basis. There is a lost pass replacement fee.

For added convenience a full-service ski shop with rental options is located on the property. Washers and dryers are available on the second floor of the D building. Level 5 in the D building provides a room for ski storage and ski-in/ski-out access (green corridor). The free Lift bus also picks up frequently at the main entrance for easy shuttle service to the Village.

    This rental is a studio meaning space is small and limited. It is probably most comfortable for 1-2 people even though it could sleep up to four - it has a Murphy bed and sofa pullout, no actual bed. It was very clean and had all of the basics. It has not been completely updated but enough to make it comfortable .All of the switches and components are labeled making it easy to know how to operate TV, Wi-Fi lights etc. Communication for access to the unit and parking garage wree given promptly and worked with no problems.

    The condo was fine, the rest of the facility not so much. steam room and sauna not working, no one seemed to care. front desk looked abandoned.stayed 6 days. never once saw anyone there. but did see some frustrated customers looking for help.

    This place is older with no bells and whistles but it was the cheaper option for ski in/ski outs. It had two hot tubs which we used every day. At night it was within walking distance to the base. You can get to the base by using a shuttle but it was quicker to walk. There is also a shuttle that goes into town that is pretty easy to use. There is a ski rental place right on site that gives a 25% discount for staying at Iron Horse. There is a parking garage for guests but don't come with a ski rack because it will not fit. The property manager provided contact numbers that were actually answered so this was a plus if you have any complaints.

    This place loses a star because even though the ski in part is nice, the ski out part is on a very flat green route that requires work before you even start skiing for the day. It is not recommended for snowboarders because you will just walk the whole time. I also wish that the units provided locks for the ski lockers in the building and just charge a fee if they are not returned.

    I would stay here again.

In regards to your comment about the ski-lockers. Not a bad idea and maybe something the on-site ski shop could look in to. Property HOA does not have staff to handle this great suggestion, but it may be something that the ski-shop would be interested in. I will for sure send an email to the manager of the ski-shop. Outcome is unfortunately out of my control. *smile

    We had a great time here at the Iron horse apartment/studio complex. Everything you need at home is there. Very clean studio and very comfortable.
    Rental store for ski and snow board right there. Also overnight storage at your convenience. Ski from Iron horse to base in minutes. Coming home through Mary Jane and stop right where you stay.
    Also, we rented a car and parked our car in a covered parking lot.
    Couldn’t ask for a better ski vacation!

    I couldn't be happier with my stay. The condo was well stocked with towels, sheets, kitchen utensils as well as an abundance of toilet paper, Kleenex, and paper towels. Nick at Winter Park Management was super helpful and responded immediately to calls. (The parking garage door blew a fuse. Nick had maintenance there in two minutes). Will definitely use them again!

    We had a great weekend. In town for 43rd WF Ski Cup. Location was perfect, ski in and ski out. Walk is less than 10 minutes to village and shuttle available if needed. Onsite ski rentals, restaurant, bar, storage, pool, hot tub. The complex could use some updating but offset by location and amenities. Looking forward to next year. The condo has been updated with new TV and sleeper couch.

You will need a vacation from this vacation!     This is our second stay in a studio at Iron Horse condos. Iron Horse is very convenient for skiing with covered parking and direct access to the ski slopes from the 5th floor ski bridge. The outdoor hot tubs and pool, and newly reopened (weekends) in-house cafe are nice. The studio apartments are efficient for 2 but would be crowded for 4 adults. Disadvantage of a studio is you share your sleeping quarters with the refrigerator and various LEDs. This studio is well maintained and adequately equipped.

    so nice to leave your boots and skiis inside a locker area near the ski out location, then when you return, walk to condo with tennis shoes on! Other than that, condo owner should spend $100 and buy a new TV (the current one is an old black and white TV) - and replace the couch fold out bed...get a futon possibly..that bed under the couch is DONE! Otherwise, nice place

    This was our first time in Winter Park and at Iron horse. All in all it was a very positive experience. The location of the condo is perfect, and the amenities in the complex were very good. The condo itself had a couple of issues but we knew coming in that it was going to be small for our family. The kitchen worked great to make meals, the sofa bed was in pretty rough shape to be honest. The murphy bed was awesome and very comfortable. Thanks so much, we had a wonderful time!

TV is being delivered in the next week while we do have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for the sofa to be in the unit.
