Spacious & spotless top floor condo in Iron Horse. Seven beds comprised of two king suites (one with a twin bunk); kids/teens sleeping loft with two twin beds as well as a queen murphy bed; this updated condo has the space you need for a wonderful mountain getaway for up to ten people. The condo has cathedral ceilings and lots of windows making it feel even more spacious than its already roomy 1500 square foot size. Access the large deck from both living room and front king suite. Kitchen w/granite counter tops & full-size appliances hosts everything you need to create and serve meals.
Living room w/gas fireplace; wet bar; new large television; comfy leather couch & loveseat; two occasional chairs w/ottomans; game table; queen murphy bed and ladder access to sleeping loft. To create a more private sleeping area, the living room has the capability to be closed off. Third full bath in hallway plus washer and dryer within the unit. Hooks, cubbies and closets for storage! To ensure the utmost comfort during your stay, we provide humidifiers; fans; extra blankets and pillows stored within the bedroom closets. When it’s time to relax indoors, you can enjoy smart TV's in living room and bedrooms; free Wi-Fi; video library; video game systems with kid friendly games; cozy blankets and an extensive selection of board games.
This beautiful condo is located in the J building, which features an exterior elevator and is just seconds to the pool and two giant outdoor hot tubs.
POOL / HOT TUB hours: Monday - Sunday 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

NO SMOKING or PETS allowed.

Iron Horse is conveniently located right off the Corridor Trail (1/4 mile from the 10-person Gondola) and base activities. Easily return to the condo for lunch or to warm up.

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR SKI-IN/SKI-OUT AND SHUTTLE SERVICE:
Iron Horse is located on the Corridor run that connects the base of Mary Jane to the base of Winter Park. This Corridor run (marked as a green run on the trail map) is about 1 mile long. The base of Mary Jane sits higher in elevation than the base of Winter Park. Ski-Out - from Iron Horse, you ski down 1/4 mile to the base of Winter Park. Ski-In - to ski home you must traverse to the Mary Jane side to catch the Corridor run down to Iron Horse. To get to the base of Mary Jane, you will have to be able to manage a blue trail. Note that you do also have the option to use THE LIFT, the town’s free shuttle service, to the base of Winter Park – we highly recommend this option for novice skiers, especially coming home. Note that Iron Horse Resort is on the “green line” of THE LIFT. Level 5 in the D building provides a room for ski storage and ski-in/ski-out access.

FOR MOUNTAIN BIKE LOVERS:
Pls store your bikes in the private garage as management does not allow bicycles stored inside condos or on balconies. To prevent mud and chain oil damage to our carpets, as well as handlebar scratches on the walls; we must kindly ask you to not store bikes inside the condo. Thank you for understanding

FOR EVERYONE:
Make sure you bring your swimsuits as this complex offers a year-round indoor/outdoor heated pool and two new 20-person outdoor hot tubs in addition to a newly remodeled fitness room with steam rooms and showers. With this rental you have access to 1-car private garage (just steps away from elevator access to the condo) with keyless access and ski/board racks to store your gear, plus 1 additional outdoor permitted parking space to accommodate guests with two vehicles. Outdoor parking is on a first come first serve basis. Additional vehicles are not permitted. There is a fee for lost/missing parking pass

Nightly rate is based on occupancy up to 8 people. An Additional charge of $15 per person per night applies for more than 8 guests. (will be added when we confirm the reservation)

  Great layout for big groups with kids. This place has lots of room for relaxing and very cool loft for kids to have their own space. Can watch tv from there or just rest and play on their iPod while the adults relax on the comfy large couch with fire place. Plus each bedroom has their own bathroom with 3 total with plenty of wash rags and towels!!! Instructions were easy to follow and located on the fridge and charlotte was very quick to respond with any questions. Nice ski in ski out location!!! Big plus condo is located right above hot tubs and pool for easy quick access!!!

  Overall it was a nice place to stay. The only problem we had was finding the place. We came in after dark and it was snowing and we finally found the building then the actual condo was hard to find but after calling management, she stayed on the phone with me and walked me thru the direction to the condo. The upstairs lift was a great place for the kids to play and sleep. The place was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. This condo is a ski-in/ski out. The short walk to the ski run was great because parking down at the base was a long walk to the ski lift. Great vacation.

  This unit had plenty of room, a well equiped kitchen, and comfortable beds. It got a little chilly at times and we could not really figure out the heater (think it might have been on a timer). The ski in and out was great, you just need to come in from the Mary Jane run and look for "The Corridor" run at the bottom, and don't miss the spot on the right where you skied out from (5th floor of D bldg). Management Company was very helpful and responsive.

  Overall we enjoyed the rental for 3 nights. Plenty of space for 6 people ( we had 4) and very convenient access to the ski run to WP. The apartment itself seems to get a lot of use and could use some refresh but for us it was fine. The only complaint was not about the apt but about the ski access to WP - the run down to main lodge is almost flat. It requires a lot of pole work on skis to get there and wears you out. Ski-in was no problem as long as you came down Mary Jane Run and don’t miss turn.

  From the moment we walked through the door, we knew that this would be a great vacation! It was way more spacious than we had anticipated. The upper story made a huge difference in capturing light and watching the snow falling. There were games provided and a cozy fire to connect around after a long day of skiing. The only caveat to the ski-in part, was that it is approached by some blue slopes (unless I missed something), so that my youngest was not able to "ski in". But the green line shuttle picked us up right at the gondola, and dropped us off pretty much at the condo, so it was just as convenient. I had read some reviews that some people had problems with heating. We had no such problem. There is a radiator-type heater in the closet, which we actually had to turn down, and it was also very useful in drying cold/wet gators and gloves. The managers were very quick to get back to us on arrival, when our parking pass was not there. They immediately answered their phone, and we had our pass within 20 minutes. Everything was a little different with Covid, and the main part of Iron Horse was pretty much shut down, but we still had the greatest time! Best place in town to eat for sure is Hernando's Pizza - would recommend making a reservation.

  we stayed for 4 days in August. we hiked the trail right on the other side of the street of the resort exit. it was a nice 3 mile hike. We spent a day driving through rocky mountain national park. That is a must to do. Took some great pictures. took the gondola to the restaurant on the top during happy hour. There was a singer who was really good and food and beer was cheap. white water rafting was fun. we did the class 1,2,3 rapids on the upper colorado. Not much whit water because so late in the season. But our guide was great and we all jumped off the cliff that we stopped at. The hot dog place downtown is a must. We went to the free concert on Thursday night and had a great time. The condo was perfect. We took advantage of the DVD movie collection one night.

  Great location, nice having three bathrooms, very spacious and clean. One of the bedrooms was very dark and the dresser needs to be repaired. The drawers kept opening blocking the path to the bathroom. The fireplace didn’t work which was a bummer. There were broken lamps and a broken bathroom cabinet. The door fell on our feet when we opened it. Not enough bed pillows to sleep six. Dryer was missing a knob and therefore not functional. Some repairs /updates needed but overall clean and spacious.

I will see to that we get someone up to look at the dresser (not sure which dresser being referred to as blocking the path to the bathroom?) Fireplace does work. We turn the pilot off when it is super hot, to prevent it from more heat to be created. I will try to find out what door is it that "fell" and what lamps / bathroom cabinets broken as well as locating all the 8-10 pillows that we purchased for this condo about 6 months ago.

The outside deck needs work; boards sticking up waiting for a toe to get stubbed and felt wobbly.   My husband, myself, son & daughter-in-law stayed in the condo for three nights in mid-July. The condo interior is very nice, with plenty of space to feel comfortable. The living room was very roomy, with a nice sofa & love seat. It would be nice to have one more chair for seating, especially since there is enough floor space to easily allow that. A cushy recliner would be an awesome addition. Overall, we were pleased with our accommodations & the surrounding property is very pretty.
  
  A few things that need improvement...
  
  Building appearance & maintenance:
  The overall appearance of the exterior of the buildings is really lacking. The wood of the deck of our condo was in sorry shape as were the railings everywhere. You could not step out on the deck barefoot, for fear of a sliver. Also, there was one deck board in particular, that when my son stepped on it, his foot went down through a few inches. That really is not acceptable for the amount of $$$ paid per night. Another suggestion I would make is that the windows be updated/replaced. Almost every window had an issue with closing completely. That may be ok during the summertime, but I'm sure come winter, guests would like to be able to keep out the cold.
  
  Suggestions for Housekeeping:
  The bed in the master bedroom...I could not understand why the sheets were so loose & slipping around the first night. No matter how many times I tried to tuck them under, they inevitably came loose. Come to find out the next morning, there was no mattress pad of any kind over the mattress. There was one on the other bed, so it may have been an oversight made during the cleaning of the condo? Whatever the reason, I think a mattress pad should be a standard practice for keeping your beds fresh & comfortable. Another suggestion would be to have more towels/dish cloths available in the kitchen. We had one tea towel & could not even find a dish cloth. Luckily, there were paper towels that got

We already paid 1 special assessment and an other one just announced ...so there will be money to finish up all updates on the complex. I have printed out your feedback and provided it to the cleaners. I am sorry if they failed to put on a new mattress protector. We have invested in those that zips on entire mattress, but unfortunately a previous guest must have liked it a lot, and maybe decided to try it on their own mattress at home. All other comments written down and some will be presented to the owner (eg new windows and additional chair) ...others to the HOA (condition of the deck) I am happy to read that you did have a great time. Hopefully you will find that we have taken your feedback serious, and improvements made:)

  Very nicely decorated and super clean, this condo was just what we hoped for! Plenty of room for the 6 of us to stretch out and relax - 2 big bedrooms with king sized beds and a queen sized Murphy bed in the living room. Especially loved having the partition we could pull out to separate the living room from the dining/kitchen area -- perfect for a couple of our teen boys that wanted to stay up LATE but sleep in in the morning! Bedrooms were equipped with plenty of linens & blankets. Bar area in the living room for making drinks, which we used when we had some friends stop by. Nice sized patio, and loved the sounds of the creek flowing below the unit when the windows were open. In-unit washer & dryer were a necessity for our son's baseball uniforms. Easy walk to the village for food & fun, and plenty of options for transportation into town, etc. Gameroom included foosball, ping pong, air hockey & more (another + for our teens!). Hot tub was down for maintenance, which was a bummer for us parents! Overall condition of the facilities/building exterior is in pretty rough shape, but it looks like they are in the process of making some improvements, and can be overlooked with all of the other positives. We had no issues with accessing our room or amenities, and all was as described to us. We will definitely stay in this condo again!

  The condo was perfect. Comfortable, spacious, clean. We had a great stay. It's one of the units furthest from the slopes, and it's still only a 1 min walk. We had a few questions when we arrived and the management company called back immediately. They were friendly and helpful and answered our questions. We had a great time and would rent this unit again. The only disappointment was that the condo complex seems to be falling apart (not inside the condo we stayed in, only outside). The paint was peeling, rotten siding, the driveway (gravel) had huge pot holes, splintering boards on the walk, overflowing trash. For a ski-in/ski-out complex, it seemed like a dump! But, again, the condo inside was perfect.

  Our family of four (including two teens), stayed here for a long weekend. We were very happy with the size of the condo and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The kitchen is very well stocked and we enjoyed our time cooking after long days of skiing. The fireplace worked great, and although there are many thermostats, it is nice to be able to control temperatures in each room. The managers were very helpful and helped fix a minor internet issue. The only con is the Murphy bed mattress is really not usable and the mattress should be replaced. We would definitely stay here again and had a great weekend!

  I have read the other reviews and find some of the unfavorable ones not completely fair. The condo: does have updates; is a good size; has three bathrooms and two large bedrooms. Location is great - short walk to the ski area (may seem further in the winter with equipment).The main issue is the building is very dated/tired looking and is in need of a face lift. Pool was good and we liked the hot tubs.

  We were very disappointed in Iron Horse. This was our first time to ski and first time to Winter Park. We had a lot of questions for the front desk. We NEVER saw anyone working at the front desk. Staff was nonexistent . Restaurant was advertised as being open. The restaurant/bar was roped off with a tacky closed sign as if it was permanent. That was false advertising and we were not happy about having to go out for meals every time we ate. Our condo was nice enough but we would not return to Iron Horse. If they don't hire staff or open the restaurant at the busiest week of the year, when do they? Our other complaint was having to have a 9-10 digit code in your head to go in and out of any gate or door. That's inconvenient and unnecessary to make the code that long. You barely learn it and it's time that go home. Lastly, hot tubs should all be open and working. One hot tub was roped off with a closed sign on it during our stay. Again, if you advertise a number of hot tubs, they need to be working and open. We will not recommend Iron Horse and will not return.

    Sorry to hear about your experience at the Iron Horse Resort. In the welcome letter you received from us before your arrival, we informed you that the front desk would not have any information on your rental and that any questions should be directed to us. This information is also on the check in/check out sheet on the refrigerator in the condo. The front desk is not staffed because all rentals go through independent management companies and each company assists their own guests. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed during the beginning of the season for unforeseen circumstances and is in the process of reopening which is expected to happen within the next couple of weeks. I understand that is of no use to you and apologize for the inconvenience. We do agree that the codes can be annoying, however, they work, and are for guest security. They also keep people out of the common areas that should not be there. As to the hot tubs, unfortunately a part broke and the tub could not be used until the resort maintenance staff was able to fix the problem and safely reopen the tub.

  Our stay in this well equipped, spacious unit was fantastic. The living area is super functional, the bedrooms are huge with comfortable beds, and the kitchen had all the accoutrements for preparing a family style meal. The walk to WP Village is easy. We also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, which is a short walk from the unit's front door. Two areas for improvement were: 1) check out on Sunday was 10 am which felt a little early, and 2) for a unit that sleeps 6+ there was only one parking pass authorized and no recommendations about where else to park a car for the weekend (when's the last time 6 people arrived at the mountain with one car and all their equipment? Never). We would definitely stay here again if we can figure out the parking.

  Our family met at Winter Park from three different areas of the country for a special Christmas with skiing and relaxing in the mountains. Our stay at Iron Horse Resort (unit J-3309) was nothing less than perfect! We were able to ski, relax, and the condo was so warm and comfortable that we did not want to leave! We made use of the well equipped kitchen for beakfast and dinner almost every-day. The hottub and pool facilities are very nice and we used them every evening. The location of this facility is not only right on the ski slopes, but it is also a very short walk down to Winter Park Village for shopping, dining, or entertainment. To top it all off we also had at least 4" of fresh snow every night! We will not forget our ski-trip to Iron Horse Mountain Resort and hope to return sometime in the near future!

  I believe this is the largest condo in the complex. Our extended family rented 5 condos and we used this one to gather for meals and games, etc. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and horseshoe pit. The condo itself was well stocked, well furnished, quiet, clean and very comfortable. It's a 10 min walk to the base of the mountain and Starbucks, lovely restaurants and fun summer activities. Internet is spotty in the mountains, so we were not able to take advantage of wi-fi. Security is very tight in the complex. In fact, the key code system is quite confusing and seems overboard, but things may be different during ski season. We had a great time!

  This Iron Horse Condo is really in a great location for a family skiing vacation. There were five of us and their was plenty of room. The property was very clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was the TV didn't work in one of the bedrooms. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it.

  Excellent vacation rental experience, even with the minimal snow this spring. The condo was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Bedrooms were luxurious in size and finishes. Location is extremely convenient, with a short walk to an adjacent building with a satellite ski shop, the walkway to a ski-in/ski-out trail, and the bus stop. Kitchen equipment was high quality, but we could not find potholders or scrub brushes. Keyless entry was a big plus. The thermostats throughout were extremely responsive. Would rent here again without hesitation.

  Great ski-in/ski-out
  We rented this unit last winter and we stayed there again this past weekend. We enjoyed the convenient ski-in / ski-out (you need to ski a blue run via Mary Jane to ski-in but the run to the base of Winter Park is a green run). The place is nicely decorated and has a full kitchen. Charlotte is great and we had everything we needed -- including towels for the hot tub. There is a ski rental shop close by and you can store your ski equipment for free. This is a great place for families. There is also a free shuttle that can get you to the base of Winter Park. Highly recommend.

  If you're looking for a newly remodeled unit at the Iron Horse this is the ticket. Everything is very clean, well managed, helpful staff, good workout room, Ski Depot is great. Large kitchen with ample cooking equipment, upgraded electronics, great little washer and dryer came in very handy. Lot's over space for a family of 5 to stretch out very comfortably. The management team are very helpful and pleasant to work with from beginning to end. Overall you'll love this unit. Only a couple minor flaws. It is a short walk, an elevator ride and another walk through building C to get to the ski-out area. It's only ski-out if you don't mind using your poles for a fair part of the Corridor Trail. It's very flat and a cat walk for boarders. On the other hand it is an easy ski-in location for Intermediate skiers from Mary Jane and the steeper beginning section of Corridor Trail. Green line Shuttle is good, though. The murphy bed is more like a box spring than a mattress and our son ended up sleeping on the sofa it was so uncomfortable. There isn't a view from the unit, but it is private and the snow covered trees are very beautiful. We lucked out with over a foot of new snow during our 6 day stay.

  Our family drove all the way in from Tennessee and we were pleased to find the condo in the same condition as advertised; very modern yet rustic. I read reviews ahead of time about the general condition of the buildings at Iron Horse being run down and was a little concerned. I can only speak for this specific condo and it was not run down at all. I have absolutely no complaints at all. The hot tub was conveniently located along with the access to the ski slopes and everything you need is present. Don't hesitate to reserve this place for your stay.

  My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Iron Horse Resort. The property was great in its size, location and was everything we expected it to be. The owners were very helpful whenever we had problems or questions. The kitchen was terrific--the
  only thing missing were potholders to remove items from the oven. But if I had notified the owners about that, which I should have done, I am sure they would have supplied them. We just didn't bake that much so it wasn't a huge issue. The place is nicely decorated
  and we would definitely stay there again!

  I spent the better part of a day looking up and comparing Winter Park rentals and so I was pretty confident we were getting a good place and a good deal. But we were blown away when we got inside -- it's BIG. With two little kids underfoot, that was a real bonus. And the pool and hot tubs are right there, and we used them every single day. Management was so accommodating when we asked to stay another night (because we were having so much fun!). And the Iron Horse is so close to Winter Park Village -- my husband and daughter would bike down to breakfast, and my son and I would drive (2 seconds) up to catch the Cabriolet ride (so fun and completely free). I have already recommended this place to two friends. We can't wait to come back.

  We feel that we have found the best ski lodge accomodation in Winter Park! We have been staying at the Iron Horse for over 30 years and were very impressed with the updated remodeling that has made this unit the best we have ever stayed in. Nick and Charlotte were very available and helpful during our entire trip. The unit is beautifully decorated and in a prime location within the Iron Horse complex: the deck overlooks the pool and hotub and is a "top foor" unit with skylights, etc... Without the long hike to the 4th floor like other top floor units at Iron Horse. The king size beds in both rooms made it perfect to accomodate our family with 2 "master" bedrooms so there was no need to trade off who gets the master throughout the trip. We were so grateful to have found this unit and can't wait to come back.

  Really had a great time. Two families shared the condo and it worked out well- since essentially you have two master bedrooms. Other friends were staying nearby, but our condo served as the Joel base for the whole crew. It all worked out really well. We had some minor issues - ex fireplace thermostat wasn't working- but these issues were quickly addressed by a phone call to the owners. A great stay and we'll be back again!

  We had a wonderful winter vacation at IronHorse. Our unit was spacious and bright with a mountain lodge feel. We had all the comforts of home. You don't put on your skiis at the back door, but the Corridor Trail is near enough, and the on-site Ski Shop is very accommodating and handy. We hated to leave!
