Zephyr Mountain Lodge # 1517

This unit is 40 feet to the elevator -one of the shortest walks to the snow and skiing! It has spectacular slope side views of the base area. In the first bedroom, there is a queen over queen bunkbed, small closet, and TV. A full bath is located just outside the bedroom door. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and a full over full bunkbed and a en-suite bathroom. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room. This condo is perfect for folks looking to spend time exploring and still have a comfortable base camp to gather, make a meal, and relax.

This property uses the Triple Sheet Method where we use two sheets to encase the comforter. This sheet-made duvet cover gets washed between each and every guest to provide an extra clean sleeping experience.

Zephyr has four hot tubs, a fitness room, heated underground parking, onsite ski shops and close proximity to restaurants and shopping. There is also a nearby ice skating rink. Each condo has a full service kitchen. Washer and dryer are located on every floor. Unit is located on 5th floor in Slopeside building facing the gondola and slopes.

For our fellow mountain bike lovers: we are very sorry, but management does not allow bicycles stored inside condos or on balconies. To prevent mud and chain oil damage to our carpets, as well as handle bar scratches on the walls; we must kindly ask you to not store bikes inside the condo. We are working with the HOA of all our properties to figure out bike storage in the long term as our mountain sports grow in popularity. Thank you for your understanding.

Nightly rate is based on occupancy up to 8 people. An Additional charge of $15 per person per night applies for more than 8 guests. (will be added when we confirm the reservation)

Heated attached underground parking will keep you and your vehicle out of the elements (parking fee during ski-season $21/ per vehicle per day). Ski locker included.

Hot tub hours: 8 am to 10 pm (Mon through Sun)

Please note if you are arriving by train, there is no facility on-site for luggage storage.

The resort base village includes the lifts for skiing/boarding/mountain biking, snow tubing, hiking, ice skating, shopping, dining, scheduled entertainment, and other attractions including several summer activities. The swimming pool and gym are just 4.1 miles away at the Grand Park Rec Center with multiple swimming pools, a waterslide, full gym with indoor track, huge rock climbing wall, gymnasium, and children's playground. The Foundry is next door to the Rec Center with a bowling alley, movie theater and brick oven pizza bar. Safeway grocery store is 5.6 miles away in the town of Fraser.

  Knowing skiing was just outside the door was the best part of the stay. The two rooms worked out great with plenty of private space to go and take a nap after a day on the slopes, then after some quiet time going out for dinner at the many walking restaurants near the lodge.

  Vacation and Snowboard trip to winter park, we booked a ski in ski out to have a incredible trip. First issue never got the keys overnighted to us, after jumping though hoops we finally got access to the room. You would think you would have basic necessities spending 10 grand, no hot water for five days, no wifi, one jacuzzi out of order and other one warm never hot. When I tried to inquire about these issues we where having, I simply asked is there a place we can go on property to take a hot shower. SHOCKING THEY SAID NO!!!! Response hot water is down in whole building, wifi is down in two buildings and jacuzzi is a known issue and being worked on. I stressed our concerns, they said out of there hands it is a HOA issue. We paid for basic necessities such as hot water, wifi, jacuzzi this is all stuff that should not be in question. We just wanted a refund so we could get a place with hot water at least....
  
  We are going to move forward with a formal suit to make sure the next family that books there vacation someone will be held accountable for there lack of concerns. No question asked money refund or other accommodations should of happened. Who wants to ski all day to come home to no hot water absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

    I appreciate your feedback, and I'm genuinely disheartened to learn about the challenges you faced during your stay. I want to address your concerns and provide some clarification on the issues you've raised. Firstly, regarding the key card, we dispatched it by mailing it a month before your arrival to the address provided in your reservation. The check-in instructions clearly specified the mailing process, urging you to anticipate its arrival. Unfortunately, we were only informed of you not having this key card until your on-site arrival. And swiftly offered an alternative solution through one of our on-site lockboxes, ensuring you had immediate access. Regarding the hot water concern, I acknowledge there was an issue, but the duration was approximately 9 hours on one specific day, not the reported 5 days. I am more than willing to share the incident report from the HOA to validate this, as well as the text communication between you and our staff, demonstrating our immediate efforts to address the situation. Additionally, the Wi-Fi disruption affected a broader area, including Zephyr Mountain Lodge, and lasted for nearly 3 days. The HOA promptly engaged Century Link, and the matter was resolved as fast as possible. During this period, I consistently communicated updates to you and all our guests, offering a temporary solution in the lobby areas with an alternative carrier. While I understand your frustration, I want to emphasize our commitment to rectifying issues promptly and efficiently. I regret that your experience fell short of expectations, and I assure you that we take every guest's concern seriously. No guest, regardless of the amount paid, should leave feeling dissatisfied. FACTS OF GUEST CLAIM: The hot water issue came in sporadically mid-morning on December 30th and was resolved at 6:30 pm on the same day. Wi-Fi issue started December 30th 18:22 GMT and was resolved by January 1st 19:35 GMT

  Best location on the mountain. What a view.
  The floor plan was smaller than we expected but ok since we were only 3. Any more and we would have needed the upper bunks. The bedrooms were kind of dark. So much so that I bought a 3-way bulb.
  That's the only negatives and the location makes up for a lot. The ski-in ski-out access, the ski lockers and hot tubs were great.
  The pay as you go car parking was tacky but convenient in the underground garage.

  Prime location and a nice clean unit. Almost everything was in good working order (although the cable connection was poor if that matters to you) and a few light bulbs were out.
  It would be a perfect unit for two families with kids as there are bunk beds in both bedrooms. Since we didn't have kids, the bunk beds made the unit seem a bit cramped and a little dark. Also the mattress in the master unit was pretty soft for my preference. Management company was responsive and easy to work with.
  One caution: Zephyr charges $14/day/car for parking which is not easy to see on the VRBO website unless you really dig

  The condo and resort are in a great location to walk to everything we needed.   The beds and couches were so uncomfortable and worn it that we literally had a hard time getting any rest. So bad that we left a day early and just forfeited the night AND had to pay to stay somewhere else if that helps make you end West and. Worst condo experience ever for us. Looks like nothing has been done to it since they built it.

  The location was great for ski-in / ski-out. There was lots of bed space - 5 different beds - all doubles or queen. The hot tubs were VERY crowded every night, so even though we brought our suits and wanted to go - there was no opportunity. So if hot-tubbing is a must (and you don't want to be shoulder-to-shoulder with college kids with beers), you'd have to pick a different place.

  Great views. Looking right out at the Zephyr lift. Not the biggest place, but the location is great. Just down the hall from the elevator and then once off the elevator, the ski lockers are right there and out the door and down the hill to the Zephyr express lift. Could use a few kitchen towels. We had 5 guys and it was great that we all had a nice size bed to sleep in. This is a true ski in and ski out. I would say one of the best ski in/ ski out and the price was reasonable.

  Brought my wife, three boys (11, 9 & 5), and in-laws to WP for some winter fun. The condo was awesome. I expected something that felt a little older and wore out, but the space was well kept and very clean. Furniture, beds and bedding were all nice and clean. Kitchen was stocked. Bathrooms were spotless. Location cannot be beat - especially if you plan to ski and enjoy the village. The underground parking was a cinch. The complex was beautiful as well. Nice lobby, elevators, ski lockers, etc. Hot tubs were very nice and well maintained. Most convenient winter vacation we've ever taken. Would absolutely stay here again.

  We loved the condo. It was roomy and the beds were comfortable. We had a party of 5 and the living room was fine for that number of guests, if we'd have maxed out the beds with 10 people it would have been a tight fit in the evenings while hanging out. We never did figure out the thermostats. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses and even coffee and filters. The bathroom off the main bedroom was very spacious and two of us girls could get ready at one time. Plenty of towels and washcloths. We would have liked towels for the hot tub, too because we didn't want to take the white bath towels down to that area and get them dirty. Some of our party had brought their own, so it worked out. Overall, we would totally stay here again. It was a great value!

  Very good. We love the Zepher. Management company that I used through VRBO was super responsive and professional. The unit could have been vacuumed better. The coffee pot was a 2 cup for a place that sleeps 8-10. We had to make 3 separate coffee pots for 3 of us in the morning. Mr Coffee only costs $19. Keys and ski locker worked out great. Need better TV service. Basic cable. We couldnt watch the Denver nuggets on Altitude which is a basic station in most Colorado towns. Need dish rag and a sponge. Had to use a dish towel wet to wipe counters.

  Pleasant, efficient rental. I would suggest additional lighting in the smaller bedroom; it was quite dark. I'm not sure anything can be done about the heat, but it was often quite warm despite the thermostat being set as low as possible. Otherwise a good experience.

  The location of the unit was great, and it was generally well equipped. With four adults, two teens and two pre-teens, we were full. The bathrooms didn't have working fans, but the air was so dry at least steam wasn't an issue. The coffee maker needs to be replaced - we got it to work but it was tricky. Minor issues - overall a great place.

  It was a fantastic vacation for our family of 9. We had 2 kids 3 teenagers and 4 adults and still had room for more to sleep even more. We were so happy when we opened the door to our condo. The view from all the windows was the ski lift and the skiers and snowboards going up the mountain and of them coming down. We were able to watch our teenagers going up the lift from our porch.   Our extended family of 6 stayed at this absolutely perfect condo, equipped with everything we needed for a long ski weekend. Its' location cannot be emphasized enough, that it is exactly where you want to be in Winter Park. The view out onto the slopes was amazing, it is quickly convenient to rentals, shops, restaurants, hot tubs, chair lifts, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable; more than ample space for all to be together in the unit and the kitchen was well equipped as well. I had done extensive research as to where to be in Winter Park, and this location is absolutely where it's at. If we return to Winter Park, I will definitely make every attempt to stay at this condo.

  We had an unbelievable stay! This condo is in the best location you can get at Winter Park. You are slopeside and can look out your windows or off the balcony and watch skiers coming down one of the slopes and see all the action at the base of Winter Park. The condo was in excellent condition. Clean, well maintained, everything worked. It is even better than the pictures look. You can walk out the door of the lodge and be right in the middle of the action at the base of WP. Condo was quiet and comfortable. So nice to get your skis out of the ski locker, walk out past the hot tubs, put on your skis and ski down to the lift. Can't wait to go back!

  Nick and Charlotte were very helpful. The lodge was very clean and the location was great. The only minor issue I had was that the place was listed as full kitchen which I thought meant seasoning, oil, etc. I guess that was my misunderstanding. It had pots/pans but the cupboard only had salt/pepper and honey.

  Mgmt was very helpful. Fridge was broken upon arrival and replaced within a day! Checked up on us to ensure all was well. Unit has wonderful view of black diamond slope, Zephyr lift and base area. Truly ski out for all. Ski in for anyone who can do the Mary Jane slopes (blue and above). Beginners have a very short walk across WP base camp to lodge. Price was hands down the best we found. I hope they keep it that way. It's nice to know someone isn't gouging people over the holidays.
