Zephyr Mountain Lodge # 2317

Awesome views overlooking the Winter Park Base await you at this 1 bed/1 bath condo. This condo has been recently updated and features a full kitchen with brand new appliances, gas fireplace, and flat screen TV and sleeping accommodations for up to 4 guests. Bedroom has King size bed, in living room you will find a pull out bed. You are sure to enjoy the incredible slope side views from the living room, deck and bedroom. Only steps away from the elevator with easy access to the gondola.

This property uses the Triple Sheet Method where we use two sheets to encase the comforter. This sheet-made duvet cover gets washed between each and every guest to provide an extra clean sleeping experience.

Zephyr has four hot tubs, a fitness room, heated underground parking, ski lockers, onsite ski shops and close proximity to restaurants and shopping. There is also a nearby ice skating rink (seasonal). Coin operated washers and dryers are located on every floor. Condo is located on 3rd floor in Riverside building facing the base area.

For our fellow mountain bike lovers: we are very sorry, but management does not allow bicycles stored inside condos or on balconies. To prevent mud and chain oil damage to our carpets, as well as handle bar scratches on the walls; we must kindly ask you to not store bikes inside the condo. We are working with the HOA of all our properties to figure out bike storage in the long term as our mountain sports grow in popularity. Thank you for your understanding.

The resort base village includes the lifts for skiing/boarding/mountain biking, snow tubing, hiking, ice skating, shopping, dining, scheduled entertainment, and other attractions including several summer activities. The swimming pool and gym are just 4.1 miles away at the Grand Park Rec Center with multiple swimming pools, a waterslide, full gym with indoor track, huge rock climbing wall, gymnasium, and children's playground. The Foundry is next door to the Rec Center with a bowling alley, movie theater and brick oven pizza bar. Safeway grocery store is 5.6 miles away in the town of Fraser.

  This is the 3rd (and longest) stay we have had in Winter Park. This condo has a great location, very easy to get to the slopes and stop in for a lunch break. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals. The bed was comfortable, and the hot water is amazing. I’d love to see an addition of a laundry basket for those who are there for a longer stay & need to utilize the laundry facilities (coin operated, and located on every floor), but I just used one of our suitcases for transport. Overall, I could not ask for a better stay!

  The condo is situated about 100 yards from the gondola. Getting from the condo to the lift is very easy. The unit was clean and spacious enough for a family of four. There is a small market below the building for essentials, and there is also parking for one vehicle in the garage. Nick and Charlotte from the management company provided us with all the pertinent info regarding check-in, parking, dinner options, etc. They had great communication and were very pleasant to deal with. Overall, a tremendous stay!

  Good stay, property location is incredible. The space was a little tight and could have used a few small improvements. Notably, there is almost no closet space as the one small closet accessible by guests is filled with humidifiers, pillows, blankets and leaves no space for clothes/shoes/luggage (of which you have a fair amount of when going skiing). It would have been helpful to have a few hooks in the bathroom to hang towels besides the towel bar, and the kitchen could have some tupperware and a large glass pyrex dish to help cook meals. I also found the location of the ski locker very inconvenient, it was right next to the entry door with no bench nearby. Overall the property was clean and the location just can't be beat. A major plus was the responsiveness of the management team to any requests, very important.

    The location of Zephyr is great for a ski weekend. Sorry to hear you had issues related to the ski lockers - it's placed near the entry to minimize walking in ski boots throughout the building. Because it would be tight to have a bench in the locker room, there is a bench just outside the door near the elevator.   I've stayed in the Zephyr Mountain Lodge in different 1BR units dozens of times over the past five years. This unit overlooks the village at Winter Park Resort with a nice view of the Gondola. Views from the balcony are obstructed due to the overhang from the building. It's too cold to sit outside in the winter, but a summer renter would need to know this. The living room and bedroom were very comfy. The bed was excellent! The only thing I'd point out in the kitchen is the only the pantry had was a container of coffee, sugar and powdered creamer; no salt/pepper, cooking spray, spices, or anything. If you plan to eat in the unit, you'll have to bring your own or go shopping. The key to the unit was mailed to me (first time I've received a key in the mail). At the last minute before catching my flight, I changed wallets to a smaller one and left the room key at home! I called to inquire what to do and was told additional keys would be in the lobby mailbox and was given a code. However, the code was incorrect and I had to call the office again. It's totally my fault for forgetting the key, but the incorrect information really added to the stress of a long day of travel.

    I am not sure how to respond to this review. We mail out key cards well in advance for guests not to stress about anything and for the easiest check in possible. We do write in our correspondence that we are mailing out a key, so don't know why guest was surprised about this. In cases when guest forget keys at home, we do have a plan B ready. Unfortunately Nick was not behind computer when guests called upon arrival to the complex and (unfortunately) provided the wrong code to the lock box. Guest could have called on her way up from Airport and we would have had a little more time to prepare. Oh well. We do normally provide salt / pepper, but not we do not provide spices etc. Feel a little unfair that guest left us the review (ratings) she did, but guess one can't always win *smile

  We stayed here for 4 nights over Presidents weekend and the location can’t get any better. The ski lockers were a nice addition so you didn’t have to bring your equipment upstairs to your room. It was a great spot for coffee in the morning and a beer in the afternoon. The kids loved the hot tubs although we didn’t bring extra towels with us so we had to use our room towels. That would be the only issue that we had during our stay. The unit was well equipped with pots and pans and we made our own meals at night. It was a nice spot to relax after a hard day on the slopes and the Olympics were on so that made the nights a little more enjoyable. Thanks again and we will definitely be back.

  Our family of 4 rented this unit the week of Dec 16-21 2017. Condo was perfect ski in ski out destination. King bed was comfortable, and the pull out sofa was more like a queen size. Not as comfortable but we placed the extra comforters and had our own blankets to add to the comfort. Bedroom lighting was not great but it was ok. Bathroom was about like a small hotel bath but plenty of hot water for all of us. Overall fantastic place and ski memories that will last a lifetime! We plan to seek this same location if we go to Winter Park again.

  This was the best decision that we could have made for our Thanksgiving holiday!! The boys loved the fact that they could just walk out of the building and right onto the snow...just a few feet away. There is a locker right on the main floor that they used for their snowboards. The best part about the locker was it is an electronic locker that you put your room key card on and it unlocks!! The parking was great as well...a little tight getting in because of some big pickup trucks. The room was just the right size and everything was great on the inside. If you are a small family of 4 or less...this is the place to stay!

We were steps away from the Zephyr chairlift which we took to get to the wedding, as well as all the shops and restaurants which we checked out during our stay. We were even able to watch the Friday night movie from our balcony. Being from Chicago, we loved waking up to mountain views. Thank you for a great weekend in Winter Park!

  At the base of the Zephyr lift, this condo does have an amazing "Ski In/Ski Out" location. A ski locker, heated underground parking at $14 a day, and hot tubs round out the amenities making for an effort less ski-cation.
  However, while the condo has been upgraded and it does look like the photos... pretty much everything in the condo is worn out or needs "refreshing". Sofa needs to be cleaned. Both the upholstery and the food crumbs between the cushions. The queen bed needs a new comforter, bed skirt and mattress. You can see the body impressions when the bed is made. Even the dishes are worn out....the once white stoneware is almost gray... there was a spoon in the garbage disposal when we turned it on. The toilet seat was loose, the tub drains so slow you stand in water to shower.....I could go on....
  Yes, This was the end of a long season. And yes, the price was low. About 110.00 per night with 85.00 cleaning fee. We'd have been seriously upset if we'd paid high season prices for the current condition of this condo.
  It IS an amazing location. It IS a very cute condo. But seriously, 500.00 spent at Ikea would fix it all, including the mattress!
  This condo is clearly a cash cow, so hopefully the owners will consider a refresh for summer or next ski season.
  BTW: I'm a short term rental owner....not just an overly picky diva.

  Unit is on 3rd floor. Problem is, if it snows during the day, the snow plow arrives at 3 am under the unit and clangs and bangs the front blade/shovel down onto the pavement and makes a cacauphony of other sleep shattering heavy equipment noises. I would not rent again. Room was great but this is a huge problem. They might consider leaving disposable ear plugs in the room.

    We are disheartened to hear you were not satisfied with the location of the Zephyr Mountain Lodge. We think it is really great to be able to walk right to the main lift at Winter Park. Unfortunately, at some times when we receive a large amount of snow in Winter Park, the snow plows are forced to move all that snow at less than ideal times. We hope to see you back again soon!

  My wife and I spent 3 nights at this condo, ideally situated in Winter Park. The village had several restaurants, live entertainment two of the three nights during our visit, and shopping. If you are in to mountain biking, this is the place. The unit itself was comfortable, although things like the outdoor furniture and all of the wood blinds were in need of a good dusting. We made dinner the first night, but could not locate a can opener. The property manager sent one over the following morning. The passwords to use the TV and wi-fi were a little bit confusing. We had to call Nick to help us figure it out. We opened the windows and the cool summer air was refreshing. I enjoy fly fishing, and I was able to fish Meadow Creek, Fraser River and St. Louis creek during my stay. Restaurants are plentiful in Winter Park itself, and we especially enjoyed Hernando's. We would strongly consider staying at this location(The Village) again.

  Especially considering the reasonable price, my husband and I were very impressed with our rental. Our condo was comfortable and made a great home base, and we loved that we could walk to the restaurants and shops in The Village at Winter Park. Most notable was the fact that our original unit's fridge was not working. When it was unable to be repaired on time, Nick promptly switched us to another unit. He was always extremely friendly and responsive, which my husband and I greatly appreciated. We will definitely look at Winter Mark Management again if we decide to vacation in Colorado.
